Brief description: 

The Utrecht Excellence Scholarship (UES) propositions a number of international students from open-air the European Economic Area, the prospect to pursue a Master’s degree in a selected number of fields at Utrecht University.

Scholarship value/inclusions/duration:

The Utrecht Excellence scholarship can be awarded as tuition fees OR tuition fees plus  the required income linked to a residence permit for study as set by the Migration and Naturalisation Service, for one year.

The scholarship is awarded for the nominal duration of the programme.

Eligibility:

To be eligible for an Utrecht Excellence Scholarship, you must:

Ø  •  Belong to the top 10% of your proceeding class*

Ø  •  Not hold an EU/EEA passport and not be eligible for support under the Dutch system of study grants and loans

Ø  •  Have completed your secondary school and/or Bachelor degree outside the Netherlands

Ø  •  Have applied for an eligible international master’s program me with a start date of 1 September 2022.

Application instructions:

After submitting an application (or applications) for an UES eligible Master’s programme, before the determined deadline, non-EU/EEA students will have the option to submit an application for one Utrecht Excellence Scholarship from 1 November 2021. Prospective students who wish to be considered for the scholarship must apply before 31 January 2022, 23:59 CET, after which the application portal will be closed.
